Mt Pisgah State Park

Mt. Pisgah State Park is in the scenic Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania’s Northern Tier. Midway between Troy and Towanda in Bradford County, the 1,302-acre park is along Mill Creek, at the base of Mt. Pisgah, elevation 2,260 feet. The park is only two miles north of US 6, the major route through the northern tier. Secondary roads passing through the villages of East Troy and West Burlington travel over rolling farmland to the park.

A dam on Mill Creek forms Stephen Foster Lake, named after the famous composer and onetime local resident. The 75-acre lake provides fishing, boating and skating. Adjacent to the park are Mt. Pisgah County Park and State Game Land 289.

Every year, Mt. Pisgah State Park hosts two major events; Women in the Outdoors, a program about learning new skills, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. At events throughout the United States and Canada, women receive expert instruction and a chance to try outdoor activities. Thanks to the National Wild Turkey Federation and its partners, women have discovered that camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, shooting, boating and bird watching are fun ways to reconnect with special people in their lives.

Participants also learn the importance of wildlife management and the role hunters play in conservation.

Mt. Pisgah State Park is proud to be the only State Park in Pennsylvania affiliated with this program.

The other event is Bradford County Youth Field Day. This year was the 11th year for this annual event and we hosted approximately 300 guests for this exciting program of introducing young people to outdoor activities.

Charlene and I are happy to volunteer our time to this worthwhile effort.
